Dear Applicants,
Kindly be informed that from 18th June, 2010 onwards, applicants can schedule an appointment to visit VFS Abuja Visa Application Centre to apply for Italy visa application only under short stay categories.
Seats will be opened for 18th June, 2010 and thereafter from Monday (14th June, 2010). Applicants are requested to visit VFS website www.italy-ng.com from 14th June, 2010 to schedule an appointment for 18th June, 2010 onwards at VFS Abuja Visa Application Centre.
Address: 38 Lobito Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, Nigeria.
Submission Time: 0800hrs to 1400hrs (By Prior Appointment only).
Passport Collection Time: 1400hrs to 1600hrs.
COURIER FEE FOR ABUJA APPLICATION
Kindly be informed that a separate courier fee N6,798.00 will be paid per applicant with effect from June 18, 2010.
How to find out if your visa is ready
Dear Applicants,
After 20 working days from the submission at VFS you should start tracking the status of your application by browsing the dedicated page of our website.
You may also check by calling us at 01- 8990285 between 9am to 4pm on any working days except Saturdays and Sundays and any Holidays.
Kindly note that neither VFS nor the Consulate General of Italy would be held responsible for applicant not picking up their passports whenever they are ready for collection at VFS.
Kindly note that for now seats available for Family reunion and
work permit till November, 2010 and for short stay business and tourist till
May, 2010 If there are no yellow seats available it is booked out for the
above mentioned time.

First time
and Frequent Tourist category applicants are advised to schedule for
appointment to apply visa at VFS at most 3 months well in advance to
avoid any disappointment of no availability of seats. Same goes with first time
business category applicants.
Please
be informed that applicants need to come to the centre ten (10) minutes prior
to their scheduled appointment.
Schedule an Appointment
This page allows you to schedule an appointment for the submission of documents
at the Italian Visa and legalization application center. Before proceeding to
make an appointment, please read the below mentioned requirements carefully.

The applicant has to pay the required Service Fee at any of the designated
branch of Guaranty Trust Bank and that you have the bank receipt number handy
with you for online validation. Please note unless you have a valid bank
receipt number, you will not be able to schedule an appointment.

Applicants are requested to schedule their appointment according to their visa
category. If the appointment is scheduled in the wrong category then the
application will not be accepted and the applicant needs to take a fresh
appointment and by paying the service fee and the bank charges again.

Please carefully read the requisite documents that you need to submit together
with your visa application on the day and time scheduled for your submission of
the application at Italian Visa and legalization application center Lagos.

Please make sure that you have all the documents indicated in the list,
original as well as photocopies since no visa application would be accepted if
one or several documents are missing and you would be compelled to start again
the procedure.

Kindly report to the application center 10 minutes prior to the time of
appointment . As no Application will be taken before or after the specified
appointment time given to the applicant.

Please note, the applicant has to sign the application form in front of the
Officer at the time of submission of the documents.
